Shirleys Story

I bred my first litter of puppies, Springer Spaniels, in 1972.  After this I bred English Buldogs with the affix of Zeabo.  I achieved several show results in England.  Then in 1990, I moved to Italy.  Owing to many breeding problems with the bulldogs I decided to change breed.  After careful consideration I decided to bred Border Collies.  Knowing the bred since I was a small child, I knew they were a delightful and very intelligent breed.  When I first arrived in Italy, I brought with me a lovely border collie bitch, Detania Marsha, for a friend, who later became It.Ch.  I was constantly asked to bring more border collies from England, so this was also a deciding factor.  The border was not a well known breed at the time in Italy.  I went to Angela Gillespie of the Detania border collies.  She was extremely helpful, in selling me some good borders, which gave me the foundations of my kennel today.  From these dogs I have shown and breed 9 Italian Ch., 1 Swiss Ch., 2 Hungarian Ch. 1 Slovenian Ch. 1 Monte Carlo Ch. and 1 European Ch.
Since 1999 I have been with Alan Jones of the Van-Glenalan affix, where we have been working together building a successful show kennel.
